A note from the person building it

Hi, I'm George.

I built Pepperseed because I wanted small businesses to have booking software that looked and felt like their own business. I'm now using the same considered approach to build websites for independent businesses too.

I'm growing this part of Pepperseed carefully, so I'm taking on a limited number of projects at deliberately accessible prices. I'd rather show you what I can make before asking you to commit, which is why I'm happy to create an initial concept first.

How much does a website cost?

Starter one-page websites begin at £50. Small business websites begin at £200. The final price depends on the content, number of pages and functionality you need, and I will agree it with you before work begins.

What does the £50 starter website include?

A professionally designed, mobile-friendly one-page website with space for your products or services, story, contact details, social links and links to an existing checkout such as Etsy or Folksy. It is deliberately focused rather than unlimited.

Do I need to use Pepperseed?

No. You can have a standalone website without using Pepperseed. Pepperseed is an optional addition for businesses that take appointments.

Can I keep Etsy, Shopify, Fresha or another platform?

Yes. A new website can guide customers to the tools you already use where that is the most practical setup. We can discuss what should stay and what would be better connected.

Who owns my domain?

You do. You buy and keep ownership of your domain. I can help you choose it and connect it to the finished website.

Is hosting included?

Hosting is priced separately. I will explain the suitable options before you commit, so there are no surprise ongoing costs.

Will the website work on mobile?

Yes. Every website is designed and checked for phones, tablets and larger screens.

Can you redesign my current website?

Yes. I can work from an existing website, keep what is useful and create a clearer new direction around your business.

What happens if I need changes later?

We can agree updates as and when you need them. Ongoing changes are separate from the initial build and will always be discussed before any charge.

Do I pay before seeing anything?

No. I can create an initial mock-up first so you can see the proposed direction. The mock-up is free and there is no obligation to continue. A completed website is paid work.
