Terms & Conditions

These terms govern a business owner's use of Pepperseed. They do not govern the service supplied by that business to its own customers.

Last updated: 23 September 2026

1. About these terms

These terms form an agreement between PEPPERSEED LTD ("Pepperseed", "we", "us"), and the person or business creating or using a Pepperseed business account ("you").

Operator: PEPPERSEED LTD
Company number: 17471549
Registered office:
Unit 13 Freeland Park
Wareham Road
Lytchett Matravers
Poole
England
BH16 6FA
Email: info@pepperseed.co.uk

By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you act for a business, you confirm that you have authority to bind it. Pepperseed is intended for business use by people aged 18 or over.

2. What Pepperseed provides

Pepperseed is software that helps service businesses manage services, availability, customers and bookings, publish a branded booking page and, where enabled, accept payments through Stripe Connect. We provide the software platform; we are not the salon, cleaner, therapist, groomer or other business delivering the booked service.

You are responsible for deciding whether Pepperseed meets your business needs, configuring your account accurately and maintaining any equipment, internet access and third-party accounts needed to use it.

3. Accounts and responsibilities

  • Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • Keep login credentials confidential and notify us promptly of suspected unauthorised access.
  • Use Pepperseed only for a lawful business you are authorised to operate.
  • Ensure your public descriptions, prices, availability, policies and contact details are accurate.
  • Maintain appropriate backups or records where your business is legally required to do so.

You are responsible for activity under your account unless caused by Pepperseed's failure to use reasonable care and skill.

4. Subscription and free trial

The standard Pepperseed plan currently costs £19.99 per month. Any applicable taxes and the final price are shown before you subscribe. We may change pricing for future periods by giving reasonable advance notice.

Eligible new businesses receive a 30-day free trial. A payment method is required to start the trial, but £0 is due at that point. Unless cancelled before the scheduled trial end, Stripe will automatically charge the first monthly subscription payment when the trial ends and monthly thereafter.

The trial is offered once per eligible business. We may refuse or withdraw duplicate or abusive trials. Promotional or founding arrangements may have separate written terms.

5. Billing, cancellation and failed payments

Subscription billing is handled through Stripe. You authorise Stripe to charge the payment method associated with your Pepperseed billing account on each renewal date.

You can cancel using the Stripe Customer Portal. Cancellation is scheduled for the end of the current trial or paid billing period, and access normally continues until then. Cancelling during the free trial before its scheduled end prevents the first monthly charge. Cancelling during a paid month prevents the next renewal but does not normally create a partial-period refund.

If a recurring payment fails and Stripe reports the subscription as past due, Pepperseed currently allows a grace period of up to 72 hours from the first verified failure. If payment remains unresolved after that deadline, normal product access and new public bookings may be paused. Billing and recovery controls remain available and business data is preserved.

More detail is available in our Cancellation & Refund Policy.

6. Customer bookings and Stripe Connect payments

You may configure services for Pay Later, a deposit or full payment. Card payments from booking customers are processed for the service business through its connected Stripe account. Pepperseed subscription billing is separate from these customer-to-business payments. Pepperseed does not add a Pepperseed commission to the booking price.

You are responsible for:

  • the service, its quality, safety, description, availability, price and fulfilment;
  • your own customer terms, cancellation and refund policy;
  • taxes, receipts, licences, insurance and legal compliance;
  • handling customer complaints, chargebacks and disputes; and
  • ensuring your Stripe account remains accurate and eligible to receive payments and payouts.

Where the product supports it, Pepperseed may help you initiate a full refund through Stripe. This does not transfer responsibility for the underlying service or refund decision to Pepperseed.

7. Acceptable use

You must not use Pepperseed to:

  • break the law, infringe rights, mislead customers or offer prohibited goods or services;
  • upload malware, probe security, bypass access controls or interfere with the service;
  • access another business's information or attempt to manipulate prices, payments, bookings or availability;
  • send spam or use customer data for purposes for which you lack a lawful basis;
  • place excessive automated load on Pepperseed or circumvent rate limits; or
  • copy, resell or reverse engineer the service except where law expressly permits it.

8. Data protection

Each party must comply with applicable data-protection law. For your business-account information, Pepperseed generally acts as controller. For booking-customer data handled on your behalf, you generally act as controller and Pepperseed as processor. You must provide your customers with appropriate privacy information and a lawful basis for your use of their data.

Our Privacy Policy explains our general handling of personal information. Any additional controller-to-processor terms required by law should be agreed before you use Pepperseed for live customer data.

9. Availability, maintenance and third parties

We will provide Pepperseed with reasonable care and skill, but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. Maintenance, security work, internet failures and third-party services such as Supabase, Stripe, Resend, Vercel, browsers and device notification services may affect operation. We may change or discontinue features where reasonably necessary, taking reasonable steps to minimise material disruption.

10. Intellectual property

Pepperseed and its software, branding and platform content belong to us or our licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for your business while your account is authorised under these terms.

You retain rights in business content you upload. You grant us permission to host, copy, display and otherwise process that content only as needed to operate, secure and support Pepperseed. You confirm that you have the rights needed to provide it.

11. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Subject to that, Pepperseed is not responsible for the underlying services supplied by a business, customer conduct, inaccurate business content, or losses caused by a user's breach of these terms. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or loss of profit, revenue, anticipated savings, goodwill or business opportunity.

Subject to the exclusions above and to the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from Pepperseed in any 12-month period will not exceed the subscription fees paid or payable by you for that period. This section applies only so far as it is reasonable and enforceable under applicable law.

12. Suspension and termination

We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary for security, unpaid billing after any applicable grace period, material breach, legal compliance or protection of Pepperseed and its users. Where practical, we will explain the reason and give an opportunity to resolve it.

We may terminate an account for a serious or repeated breach, unlawful use or where continued provision would expose Pepperseed or others to material risk. Data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and legal retention obligations.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect legal, security, product or commercial changes. We will publish the revised terms and update the date above. For a material change affecting an existing paid subscription, we will provide reasonable advance notice where practicable. Continuing to use Pepperseed after the effective date means the updated terms apply.

14. Governing law and contact

These terms and any non-contractual dispute are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Questions about these terms can be sent to info@pepperseed.co.uk.
